I used the TDK as the base of my project, and while I could see real value (if I understand it) in a Maven plugin... given what I had to learn and do to get started, it was a real comfort to me to be able to extend the TDK into the application I was writing. Some may have noticed me asking about Flux; it is a result of not thinking much about users before "Bob Bookend" could log into the TDK and have RDF fun and also MyFirstTable fun. If you see what I mean. I was able to take ownership of the pieces that I needed, when it was interesting to do so. I "got the hang of it" writing my first project; I'm still writing it (and having fun playing with the idea of making my hobby into a job).
Yes, there was a moment where I might have done well to start over against a skeleton sample app... I don't know.
How about both? Henning laid out a grand plan for a new TDK and asked for help finding funding. I hope he succeeds, the scope of his vision seemed large enough to require somebody to help pay the way.
But a maven plugin and a "hello world" sample app with maybe two or three function points... well, I haven't had time to learn much Maven, but seems a small-scope suggestion. Maybe somebody could grab that concept and make it happen, without a sponsor?

As do I.
