It may be re-inventing the wheel, but when you consider what the GPL license means, it makes the source code released under it useless for quite a lot of people (including myself). I want to be able to write commercial code that I don't give the source out to. What I do not object to is you creating hooks for people to use BM's code. I would rather have this stuff fully integrated into Turbine though so that people don't have to download it on their own.
