I'm having some problems with speed in a turbine-webmacro
implementation,
I'm starting to wonder if I didn't use something write.
Basically my WebMacroSecureSite based app runs much slower than
my regular survlets under tomcat.
I output some timestamps from Turbine.java and
TurbineWebMacroService.java
to Log.note the prefixes are miliseconds.
What is taking so long is handleRequest
Any idea what I can do to speed things up here, it looks like
handleRequest is very simple on the turbine end most of the work
is in WebMacro, the following log excerpt represents 98% of the
time required to run the servlet is tied up in processing the
webmacro templates.
This is with the template cachetimeout on 600000
Any suggestions? Where to look next for slow points, I
guess I may have to get the source for webmacro, but I would think
that it must be between turbine and webmacro as nobody seems to
be complaining about webmacro taking over 2 seconds to return a page.
