If so, then patches that remove tabs in favor of spaces are valid - nowt
wrong with cleaning up the formatting and making sure the code fits with
the coding conventions.
_But_ any such patch should be independent of patches that alter code.
The two should not be intermingled, as it makes diffs confusing.
