You stated that you had something like what is stated below, that was ready
to check in.  How did it work out?  Could I see it?

I was trying to implement a JSP layout in my preferred way and I thought I
had found a way to get it done, but it turns out I would have to code to
specific servletengines.  So I would like to go with your style.
