So after a couple of months of being on this list, I've decided to
take the Turbine plunge: downloaded, installed, config'd, and got
the default stuff working. But now I have a lot of questions along the
lines of "what's the best way to do X?" and "How does X work in
Turbine?".

I was wondering if anyone would be interested in setting up some kind
of help service that goes beyond reading the apidocs, source code, and
searching the archives (the turbine tutor troops :) )?

Perhaps we could set up a service where a vet will work with a rookie with
the understanding that the rookie must then help someone else down the line.
At the same time the rookie can be creating/adding to a USER FAQ doc that
focusing on using Turbine effectively. The level of service provided
would have to be flushed out. Hopefully, after some time, the USER FAQ
will answer a majority of the popular questions and the service would
no longer be needed.

Turbine provides a great deal of useful services, but if there are
no examples and "how to" docs on each of the services, climbing the
Turbine learning curve may be too steep for some.

I just have a bunch of questions that having someone who can keep me from
going down the wrong path would be invaluable. I could post all my
questions, but it seems that this list is slanted toward the development
of Turbine (which after I figure out how to integrate it at our site,
hope to help out). If all of this seems like a bunch of crap, I'll put on
my crampons and try to make it.

thanks,

Hey I still can't get apidocs to build. I cranked up heap and stack memory
to 11 and I still get the OutofMemoryException. So I have resorted to
using javadoc directly. PITA. Can anyone point me to a tarball of the
apidocs?
