This seems to be getting the votes.  I would add that the Mapping and
ConnectionPooling code should be implemented as separate services.  When I
started writing the Map related code, I needed a singleton and for some
reason felt like we had too many.  So I added the DatabaseMaps to DBBroker.
No reason why that needs to continue; I had started separating them, but did
not get to the point of commiting anything.  I may have thrown my changes
away, I will look at it tonight.
