I am doing something very similar to this.  My application will have
multiple ways of communicating the xml data to the client.  One of them
is via a web page.  this part I have already done wthin
turbine/webmacro.  The other way is that the app will send the xml info
directly to another app over the web.  

I was thinking about a couple of possibilities to doing this.  I looked
at xml-rpc and although it may be able to accomodate my needs, I dont
think that it was really made just for transporting xml from server to
server.  I am currently looking at using JMS for this part of my app. 
There are a couple of opensource alternatives in developement and there
is one free (but not opensource) instance that is complete and useable.

If there is a better way to do this then I am all ears.  What did you
have in mind?
