The TDK is a prebuilt Turbine installation which includes everything
that you need to run a Turbine app (even the servlet engine, I believe).

That's actually the point of the TDK--you can download a tarball or zip
file and be up and running immediately. All this information is
available through a quick search of the mailing list archive.
