Nice site!
Here's another one:
http://www.pfm.pl
Have a good time viewing the site, as it is entirely in Polish :)
Here is some technical info for the curious:
The site is Linux/Tomcat/Turbine based. The documents are stored in a
DB.
We use a hybrid of WebMacroSite approach with a custom request routing
based on 'navi' parameter that describes the location in the portal.
User information is stored in an LDAP directory, security information
(Roles et al) are stored int the DB. User information is shared with
an IMAP server and web mail client written in PHP (from another
e-point's
project OneWeb http://oneweb.e-point.pl). XMLRPC is used for
interoperability
(single sign-on, displaying mailbox status on the portal page).
The system relies heavily on in-memory caching of information (both
portal
structure and document contents). All images/css/js are served directly
by Apache (which also provides logging + mod_usertrack for WebTrends
analysis etc).
The server is a 2xP3/700 + 512MB RAM + ridiculous storage (RAID5/140GB
for mailboxes,
that sort of thing) and is performing damn great.
We are very happy, and so is our client...
Thanks again to everybody who made this happen! Long live Turbine! :)

Great idea, I'll do it right away.
