This is what I had in mind. My example (perhaps somewhat specific) is that
I have a screen than renders a chart (actually it's already embedding a
screen because the chart GIF is generated by another RawScreen-derived
screen). Anyway I need to implement having four charts simultaneously on
the same screen - and it occurred to me that I could do this by embedding
the chart screen four times.

It does, and I'm not sure it is really necessary. I can think of other
solutions to my four-way chart screen requirement...

(And as Jon implied, if people were to start embedding screens instead of
properly using the layout/navigation scheme it would make a mockery of the
module architecture...)
