It seems you are right Jon. IN which cae, why doesn't the mysql jdbc driver
support it? Or am I being an idiot. Do I have to set autocommit to false?
I'm sure I've already tried this though and it made no difference. As I
said, the application does not raise any errors/exceptions, just ignores the
fact I have suspended the commit...
