>ok .. some more questions:
>* how should i handle tables?

Some of the cells in the tables are showing up without bgcolor. Is anyone
against putting   in the empty cells so it doesnt look like a patchwork
quilt?

Couple of other issues. The docs cant be read offline now either, the images
all point to "http://jakarta.apache.org/images/" URL's. Doesnt bother me at
work, but will tick me off everywhere else. For the TDK is it intended that
those graphics be stored locally?

Another issue. I dont like Jakarta colors, the grey/blue is duller than
dishwater and the link text blue/grey is weak chinned as well. Definately a
strain on the eye. The whole scheme looks like it has been left in the sun
too long and faded.

Turbine's strong blues were much more aesthetically pleasant, gave a greater
contrast between heading and text, which made the pages much more readable.
The old Turbine links stood out more too, the current greys make the links
have to have to be searched for and I hate searching for a link because it
is hard to read. I am also generally against washed out or non strong
contrasting colours being used for links for the same reason, might look
cool or match a theme, but usability and findability goes down. In the case
of docs usability and findability is paramount. The visited purple is
stronger than the link blue/grey colour (urk!). Bad IMNSHO.

The old Turbine pages looked much more like they had something to say,
everything about the scheme was stronger, Jakarta's scheme by comparison
looks like it is desperately trying to fade away into the background, or
desperately trying not to be noticed, which IMHO is a bad thing. The Jakarta
scheme also makes the powerful Turbine logo look weak too. I dislike weak
schemes, *especially* in this instance as Turbine has something very strong
to say and announce to the world.

Purely subjective opinion, but I dont like the Jakarta scheme. It makes
Turbine look mediocre, hard to use and boring :(
