I feel particularly unfit when it comes to the inner workings of widgets, i.e. inheritance structure, and how the params are mangled by the different methods like update_params etc. You wrote a good explanation for this a while ago on the mailing list: http://smurl.name/l25a Maybe you good brush this up and extend it a little bit or slice it up into little chunks that could be inserted into the docs where appropriate?
