I don't really think the rate of documentation change/creation/whatever
has much to do with anything other than interest in writing
documentation. No one enjoys it, and most people would rather A) hack
on TG, B) hack on their own code, or C) do just about anything else.
Creating a "doc team" would probably do little more than remove some
incentive for the people that are working on docs now to continue to do
so. Yes, we probably do need organization, but I don't think meetings
are a good way to handle it.

Really what I think we need is to smooth the flow for new people to
come in and work on docs. That would involve providing easy to find
instructions on how to get started, how to get help, and how to find
things to work on. In that respect, here is what I think we need:

* A "how to write TG docs" page. We have it, but I don't remember how
visible it is and now that I have some time writing docs under my belt
I have a hard time telling what it may need to be useful.

* A "where to go if I have questions" section. This we don't have. The
TG docs mailing list sees very little traffic, and could be a better
resource for help, discussion, and organization.

* We need to expand or change 1.0/RoughDocs/DocumentationWishList to
either highlight the easy stuff or flat out rank all of it by relative
difficulty. Part of the problem as I see it is that anyone who wants to
help out and doesn't have a personal goal (or wants to build up to it)
has no indication of what would be an easy starter.

As for incentives, I think the most that we can reasonably expect to
provide is a mention as a contributor to the next release. IMO
documentation is that important, but the criteria for what constitutes
"enough" is difficult enough to where I am more than happy to leave it
up to someone else.
