Hello, While I was looking at the turbogears wiki structure I noticed that a lot of important information is split up into multiple pages. For example the search for install gives 20 results, and only a person like Christopher Arndt who has been tracking the wiki changes is able to tell what is where just by looking at the pagename. It was only unlit he explained what page are for what, you actually get a better picture of what information is available. What I was thinking about is merging all these pages into one, and have a table of content that would take you to the part you want to read. Here is how that would look:
Page would need some cleaning etc. But just by looking at that pages' table of content you can tell what options are available when installing turbogears, and what platforms it is supported already. http://docs.turbogears.org/1.0/RoughDocs/1.0L/Install vs current page (http://docs.turbogears.org/1.0/Install) which looks alright but doesn't really have it all. (maybe you will find info on install or maybe on installnix or maybe on installdebian) installdebian is not even linked from any of the two pages, so what chances you have of finding the right page? Also because all pages are split up searching in google for "turbogears install" takes you to: (http://turbogears.org/download/nix.html) which is another page that I didn't know existed. I suggest that we combine these pages into one. Thanks to that we will have all the information in one place and then we can create docs using sphinx like here: (Don't mind the errors) http://lucasmanual.com/tgdocs/1.0/_build/html/ You have your quickstart, platform specific, uninstall, and trouble shoot instructions all in one place. One could easily compare different platforms options for installing. This would allow one place to find information and one place to maintain the information as more versions are released. (1.1) http://lucasmanual.com/tgdocs/1.0/_build/html/ Having one page to have all the information (about install in this case) seems to me like a best choice. Comments?
