It was decided today that DBMechanic will not initially be ORM independent. Instead it will be built on SQLAlchemy and will support model objects using standard mappers. It was going to be too much work to have it support SQLObject and at this time I need something up and running soon. Hopefully by the end of the week it will support CRUD on model objects but without dealing with relationships.
