I've seen that the password encryption algorithm used when comparing
passwords against what's stored in the database are 'md5' or 'sha1'.

The use of those algorithms is very insecure and this is known from
2005 year

Please to let use algorithms more secure and recommended by experts in
criptography (I'm not), as Whirlpool and Tiger192
