I think you will find that ext.js's base package and dojo's core
package both contain a lot of the same selector based goodness of
jquery, in similar sized packages.   But both of those packages also
have extended widget sets, and dojo even has some package management
stuff in the core which can pull in new areas of the dojo code when
needed.

Both ext.js and dojo have significant fans, though I must admit to
only having used ext.js myself at this point.  And it's not perfect,
but the widgets do work well, and look good.   I've talke to some dojo
people, and seen some code and it certianly does look like it's worth
paying attention too.
