Prior to this past weekend, I was okay with the private PyPI.Then I got bit
by an outdated package.

Back in April (or May), I worked with repoze.who to get an update into
repoze.who to allow for user names with spaces in them. I supplied a test
case, they did the code, testing was done, and a new release was done that
night.

A few weeks ago, I went through the install of my app on a machine. When I
did so, I followed the instructions in the docs. Since I used the private
PyPI, I got the outdated version, which resulted in me having to track down
what had happened.

Now, it is my own fault: I didn't note in my setup.py that I needed the
updated repoze.who. I didn't make sure to remember to get that when I
installed. In those regards, it is 100% my fault.

However, that doesn't explain away the issues we had for some time regarding
the outdated version of ToscaWidgets on the site. Nor does it explain away
the altogether too much ease with which those packages become outdated, nor
does it excuse the frequency that such happens.

So, all in all, I say we should either ditch the private PyPI, or come up
with a better way to synchronize and test, so that the packages can stay up
to date and reliable.
