That's a good point, but the implied point behind Christoph's r6950 -- that
1.5 development has moved beyond the basics of getting things running under
CP3 -- is valid, too.

I was just following a lead & have no preference here.  Whatever you &
Christoph want to do is fine by me.

FWIW, release.py hasn't been bumped to a2 yet, just the changelog.
