That's right, but from a developer's perspective I don't care about
version numbers, they are just a product label to make it easier to
distinguish and sort releases. IMHO every release should have a distinct
version number and every distinct version number should correspond to a
released distribution. Having a version 1.5a1 in the changelog and no
release that goes along with it, just isn't right, I think.

To distinguish releases for development purposes, we have the SVN
revision number in development builds.

I didn't notice Christoph introduced version 1.5.a2 in the changelog. I
think this should be removed again.
