Hi Jared, Have you thought about adding support for choosing between multiple designs/themes? For example Wordpress keeps different themes in seperate folders, detects which themes are available, and allows you to set your theme in the admin panel.
I opened up a ticket on your Trac (#12) and attached a diff that (very rudimentarily) implements themes, hopefully it will be useful :] So far everything looks great, and I am willing to help with adding themes and better support for a theming engine. Steve
