You're absolutely right that this should be documented. David Stanek
has some ideas (and possibly some code) on fixing this.
Frankly, I'd rather see the fix than the docs ;-) I took a look but
there's just too much code there for me to grok how a fix could be done
(especially since I'm not using Kid myself).
