Just want to second the idea that if one is to be included in TG, it should be as cross-browser (and of course cross-platform, obviously) as possible.
In particular, it should support Safari (or at least intend to, AFAIK none of them have it fully working yet). FCKEditor.com is getting close to Safari support and is LGPL. Same with TinyMCE.
