Yannick, I had been running into this error with FastCGI deployment behind Apache on dreamhost (debian linux). I don't have a good explanation for you as to why it comes up, but I fixed mine by updating SVN today (2/20/06), and changing all my server settings to production. i.e. edit config.py, and rename/delete setup.py so that prodcfg.py gets used. It's something to try, at least, and I hope it works for you. Sorry I can't give you a better, more certain fix.
