I'm a bit late to this discussion :-) but I must say I've had the same experience with Django at work. It looks like there have been fairly big changes in the months since we started, so we haven't dared to upgrade since then, since we don't have any real need to currently. (We were only really using the database API for import, and Django's built-in admin app, and not actually depending on Django for the "live" app itself.) Both frameworks are still quite shiny and new, don't kid yourself otherwise. Personally, I'd go for TG. Call me grumpy and cynical, but TG seems much easier to (selectively) *stop* using than does Django ;-) (though perhaps things have got a little less hairy in the Django camp since the "magic removal" branch landed, I don't know) BTW, is there no way to post here via usenet? gmane seems to be read-only for this group, presumably because it's a google group.
