Eventually I may be writing code to sync between a TG project and  
Apple Address Book.app & iCal.app, but that's at least 6 months or  
more away before I have time to give it much thought... probably it  
will use the iSync API and maybe PyObjC.

IIRC, all those are simple text formats that shouldn't be too hard to  
parse and/or generate. In the cheese shop, RDFCalendar and vobject  
come up on a search for vcard, but I haven't tried them out so YMMV.
