I was going to suggest the same thing but for Durus[1] (the interface
is simpler) and possibly using Schevo, but then I jump to the Schevo
site [2]. And see that someone has already done some work on
integrating schevo with TG [3].

Haven't looked beyond that, but that may be interesting if you don't
mind LGPL'd code.
