I would implementig the free specifications of OASIS (xNAL, xPIL) for to managing international addresses. They are a set of XML specifications for defining and managing Customer (also called "Party") information/profile (including customer/party relationships) that are truly open, vendor neutral, application independent and importantly "Global". Including the capability of handling about 36+ customer name formats and addresses of 241+ countries with about 130+ Address formats and represented in 5,000+ languages. http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/tc_home.php?wg_abbrev=ciq After to have studied each format of example of all the countries and to make a scheme for the definition in the data base, I have verified that is better to use a free specification (I choosed OASIS as other projects also have made it, inclusive Google) than has been created for this intention. http://www.upu.int/post_code/en/postal_addressing_systems_member_countries.shtml That standard was created in XML because it is the best way to represent so many field that could be null and with so many relations. And since it is very complicated to convert of XML to RDBMS I want to use a native XML database (NXD) for storing the XML data. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TurboGears" group.
