Hi to all! Let me first say that I really like TG a lot and that I hope all you developers keep on doing your great work for this challenging and exciting OS project!
I'd just like to make the following suggestion: server.socket_host should default to 'localhost' in dev.cfg when creating a new project with help of tg_admin quickstart! I don't think it's a good idea to have web apps in dev status be viewable from outside your local machine--and if, then only to certain trusted IPs (i.e. testers). Probably many/some newbies to TG are not aware of this possible pitfall. Maybe just adressing this issue in the docs would be equally good? What do you think? -- Chris Though the CherryPy server is bound to port 8080, nmap clearly reveals it: Interesting ports on xxx (yyy): Not shown: 1678 closed ports PORT STATE SERVICE 8080/tcp open http-proxy --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TurboGears" group.
