I see! As remote development is probably often the case for TG this
default setting is really a question of convinience ...

However, I'd really like to see a note in the docs like:

Please note that upon running your Wiki-20 with start-wiki20.py *<-
replace this appropriately for the docs* it also accessible from the
internet via http://YourIP:8080. You may want to change this by adding
the line 'server.socket_host = 'localhost' *<- for Linux, donno for Win
or Mac* in your dev.cfg file. After restarting your Wiki-20 it will
only be visible from your local computer.
