The Rails book is published by a very small company (Pragmatic
Bookshelf) that has no international presence at all. The physical
books are printed by O'reilly -- which has a much, much smaller
international footprint than Pearson (Prentice Hall's parent company).
Which makes me wonder, do you see Indian editions of any O'reilly
books?

Our contract is very specific about the ways in which Prentice Hall
can produce lower-cost versions of the book for emerging markets like
India.

So, while I can't promise anything, I think the probability of a
Indian edition of "Rapid Web Applications with TurboGears" is
significantly more likely than "Agile Web Development with Rails."

They key will be convincing PH that there is enough Indian market to
cover the printing costs.
