That was pretty much my argument for using it. Well, that and if it is
still being used for python-dev summaries it must not be too painful
for that purpose.

I'm thinking about putting together a site that pulls the "last 50
threads" feed off Google Groups and uses it as a basis. Then from there
I can access a thread directly, write a summary on the site, then when
finished click go to generate the full summary. Only problem is that we
could conceivably get >50 threads between lookups.

I like that solution as google groups does a nice job of figuring out
threads on its own and making the whole thing web based opens up the
possibility of collaboration and eases the inevitable transition to
another maintainer. (no, i'm not quitting right away, but I am
realistic.)
