In fact this is just a little correction to the grid.css file
located in
turbogears/widgets/static/grid.css
the fix is to be more specific on the selector for the "odd" and
"even" rows (compare line 12 with line 20 for an insight)
I had no answer to my post and decided it was because of my bad
formulation.
Please let me know if it works for you to patch you tg installation
with it.

Would you mind filing a ticket in the Trac (http://
trac.turbogears.org/turbogears/newticket) with add the keyword
[PATCH] in the ticket's summary so it doesn't get lost in the ML's
flood? :) (probably the main reason why it has been sitting so long
here...)
