Happy New Year! Are you planning on mirroring the site anywhere? Or do
you think a static landing page with a list of mirrors is overkill?
If users are deploying TG for critical apps in their business, IMHO
there is no such thing as overkill. Even if we are talking about a small
to medium project such that TG would be a good fit, to the users client,
it's the biggest project in the world, and not having a decent
redundancy plan is a huge hole in TG right now.
I really like the work, but I think we are seeing a growing pain stage
that comes from shifting TG to a work in progress to a dual branched
stable-dev system where we can always rely on being able to download &
deploy a known good and stable version. For small operations like mine
with tight deadlines and small budgets, a two day unplanned delay can be
a disaster and potentially enough to drive me to different solutions.
