I would say go ahead and submit a patch, worst thing that will happen is it will get rejected ... but I doubt that. If you would like to see more of these changes start a thread on turbogears-trunk and discuss it with the devs there. Most likely this post got missed in the ever increasing level of discussion on the main list.
