I'm relatively confident that widgets docs will be addressed during the docs sprint, since people who DO know the widgets system should be participating and it's the only major area of TG that isn't documented online. The official position is that the book documents widgets, which is true, but not satisfactory to myself or most people. The book's treatment is also entirely from a 'how to use' perspective and wouldn't cover many of the questions that pop up on the ML.
I think the official position is that I should find time to document widgets for the Docs site, but that I've been swamped beyond belief for the last few weeks. Every time I think I'll have a few hours to work on Widget documentation somebody gets sick, or a server crashes, or something critical and important pulls me away from it. I've never thought the book was a reasonable substitute for good online docs. Dead-Tree documentation isn't for everybody, and it can't be kept up to date as well as online docs -- but having a book improves the status of a project (it just feels more real when you have a paper book to hand to your boss...) --Mark Ramm --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TurboGears" group.
