It took place. But the real title and meta content are taken over from 
the head section of the welcome.kid template (note the py:match in the 
master.kid head tag and the py:replace="item[:]" in a dummy meta element).

These tags are only there in the master.kid template for the case that 
you want to display it directly That's the big advantage of Kid 
templates, that you can display and edit them and they give you already 
a good impression how the rendered page will look like.
