You can download the free Flex 2 SDK from Adobe (free as in beer).
It's free for both commercial and non-commercial uses. (And the .tgz
file on the Cheeseshop includes Ely Greenfield's Flex source for the
component).
I remember seeing something like this Shelf done only with CSS +
JavaScript.
This is a better approach (and lighter ;-)).
And I bet that the CSS+JavaScript one doesn't have the reflection :)
I dunno how it is on Windows, but I couldn't use Ctrl-W to close
the tab with
the demo (this annoys me a LOT!) and had to reach the touchpad to
close it...
Another usability loss.
Yeah, that kind of thing bugs me, too.
