If you're just looking for a simple answer, I'd suggest using Kid for now.
Once Genshi 0.4 is released (with support for <?python ... ?> blocks), it
should be pretty simple to change to Genshi, if you decide you want to do
that (since they are about 90% identical)

Genshi is still new, and in a fair bit of flux.
