I've started writing:

http://wiki.pylonshq.com/display/authkitcookbook/Differences+between+AuthKit+and+TurboGears+Identity

I'll finish up the authentication part (pretty easy, since TurboGears
only really supports 'forward'), and then start looking at how one
could reimplement the identity API on top of AuthKit, although maybe
only as a deprecated form to AuthKit's existing form, or to some
as-yet-undeveloped form.
