hey there,

Depends what you call practical experience. Every single line of code
I have ever written in python has happened in pydev (apart of those in
ipython/python command line).

Surely eclipse cant score with its usual features (if youre used to
java with eclipse which is pure awesomeness), but still I enjoy the
convenience of having svn and a file browser integrated in my GUI,
powerful search, tabbed editing etc. Surely other editors offer parts
of this too, but if youre used to eclipse, why move away?

I love it, but im not saying youre extreme much better off than with
other editors. Code completion etc is serverely impaired due to
python's dynamic nature. Some videos from the actual TG creators are
on Mac with Textmate, (in my opinion the world's best editor - yea
yea, come get me emacs and vi people ^^ ). IDE is always a matter of
personal preference and taste, especially for Python ;)

Greetings,

Tom
