We just launched out TurboGears based open source video CMS called MediaCore and I must say it's been really hard trying to get ahold of anyone who is working on the TG websie. We just wanted to get the news out about our project and also to help prominently feature TG as a killer Open Source framework and the response has been almost non existent. My company has also offered to help completely rebrand the TG site in order to make it competitive from a marketing perspective with Rails, Django, Pylons etc. but also received no response.
With sourcforge now joining the mix TG is missing a huge opportunity to market this project. I think it would be very worthwhile having a case study on the site on SourceForge's usage. Does anyone know who is actually in charge of the TG website?
