thank you for your pointer. jqgrid seems an amazing lib! much heavier but with many interesting features.
I have undertaken the packaging of this lib as tw.jqgrid, I will release in a couple of days. I will only wrap as much as I need for now, that is a goos replacement for flexigrid.
