The bootstrap.css file is of course quite huge, since it is a whole css framework (http://twitter.github.com/bootstrap/). You should probably better not edit this css file but instead create your own one and put your modifications there. The bootstrap documentation can be quite helpful to identify objects/styles that you might want to use!
