Alright, after too much talking, it's time to take a little initative and do something. When talking to Alessandro and talking in the ML, I suggested some sample applications and replacing the Wiki20 tutorial. Here is my suggestion, TurboGag tutorial. This will be an exact clone of 9gag (I am a Redditor). Every feature in there will be cloned and there will be additions as well. They have facebook login, I will also add twitter login. They have facebook comments, I will also add disqus comments, etc.
I have started writing both the tutorial and the application. The repository can be found at https://github.com/mengu/turbogag The tutorial is in the docs/ folder. Part I - https://github.com/mengu/turbogag/blob/master/docs/TurboGag_Tutorial_Part_1.rst Part II - https://github.com/mengu/turbogag/blob/master/docs/TurboGag_Tutorial_Part_2.rst When writing tutorials I dislike using a heavy language and I want to identify myself with the reader and vice versa. I would love if you guys read it and let me know what you think. After I am done with the tutorial, I will register for a lightning talk in PyCon and also record a screencast. I am looking forward to hear from you all. Each and every one of you. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TurboGears" group.
