You should try to downgrade tgext.tagging, tgapp-smallpress has been deprecated in favor of https://bitbucket.org/axant/tgapp-turbopress which has also support for mongodb.
It looks like tgapp-smallpress is not compatible with new tgext.tagging version, so downgrading tgext.tagging should probably solve your issue.
