David, this looks a really very nice arial view :-) I agree that the DAS, SDO and Tools blocks should not overlay the core and hosting platform blocks.
Now, if you look the diagram, it gives an impression of one huge middleware that encapsulates all sorts of containers. The aspect of being able to 'integrate' distributed systems is not so evident. We need to probably think about positioning the 'extensions' differently to bring this point out.
