One issue I see is diversity. The proposed PMC seems very dominated
by a single vendor as, if I understand the affiliations correctly, we
have:
Andrew Borley (IBM)
Andy Grove (RogueWave)
ant elder (IBM)
Ignacio Silva-Lepe (IBM)
Jean-Sebastien Delfino (IBM)
kelvin goodson (IBM)
Luciano Resende (IBM)
Mike Edwards (IBM)
Pete Robbins (IBM)
Raymond Feng (IBM)
Simon Laws (IBM)
Venkata Krishnan (IBM)
Of the other committers, how many are active in the project?

How about we put a check list up on the wiki so
we all get a view of what's going on and what needs to be done by
when. I've
started one here by copying the checklist from the graduation guide (
http://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/TUSCANYWIKI/Tuscany
+Graduation+Checklist)
but we need to work out what we need to do specifically for
Tuscany and, of
course by, when.

I looked at the Tuscany Graduation Checklist Wiki page and it looks
like we're making good progress. I have a few comments.
Bullet #1 points to http://incubator.apache.org/projects/
tuscany.html, 2 new committers are missing on that page.
Brady Johnson
Simon Nash
Bullet #3 - Are there three or more independent committers? says
"The project committers are drawn from 6 independent
organizations." Status says "Needs Checking".
I count 8 independent organizations, more than the requirement of
3. Can we mark it "Done" or clarify what else needs checking?
Bullet #9 - Ensure that mentors and IPMC have no remaining issues.
Let's start with our mentors, could our mentors please list any
remaining issues?
Row #11 - A draft resolution is available at http://
cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/TUSCANYWIKI/Draft+TLP+Resolution
After discussing the draft on the mailing list, people seem to be
OK with this text: http://www.mail-archive.com/tuscany-
[EMAIL PROTECTED]/msg24387.html
Row #13 - Openness of specification process.
Looks like there is consensus in this thread: http://www.mail-
archive.com/[email protected]/msg24282.html. I think we can
mark this one "Done".
Thoughts?
